L’opera, inserita nella prima mostra del consorzio Altobello Persio, di Matera, è nata dall’esigenza di riannodare la tradizione della cartapesta locale, utilizzata per la festa di Maria Santissima della Bruna, alle ricerche artistiche dell’artista spagnolo, Jose Ortega, per ottenere un contenitore che fosse, ad un tempo, funzionale ed opera d’arte insieme.
